Deputy stops pickup truck and finds passenger in possession of methamphetamine 
Deputy Jason Cook of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Joel Craig Forbes, 41, of Lukin Street in Marion, with felony possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Shortly before 3 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 9, Cook stopped a pickup truck on Veterans Drive for traffic violations.
He identified one of the passengers in the truck as Forbes. A subsequent search of the suspect turned up 1.9 grams of methamphetamine and multiple items of drug paraphernalia.
