At last night's Township Council meeting, concern was raised about residents that are out for evening walks/runs during the fall season. With the Fall season comes earlier dusk. Residents are reminded to wear bright clothing, as well as reflective or hi-vis material while out exercising. Many items are available at running or sporting goods stores to make you stand out. LED's and reflective items are commonly available, not too expensive, and will make you more visible. Another tip is to run opposite the flow of traffic, which provides the runner with the opportunity to see any danger that may be approaching and take action. Try not to run /walk on narrow roadways, so vehicles have room to operate free of obstruction. You can't win the race if you don't make it to the finish line...
