OPD Investigators Identify and Obtain Arrest Warrant for a 2012 Murder

Oakland Police Department Homicide investigators have identified and obtained an arrest warrant for 21-year-old Kejuan Hill in connection with the 2012 murder of Charles Hill III. The suspect and victim are not related but knew each other at the time of the shooting.

Suspect- Kejuan Hill, at the time of the shooting, was 17 years old. The Alameda County District Attorney’s Office will prosecute Hill as an adult.

BACKGROUND: On March 23, 2012, just after 10:00PM, officers responded to the 2500 block of Church Street on a report of a shooting. When officers arrived on scene they located Charles Hill III, 16, of Hayward, suffering from gunshot wounds. Medical personnel transported Charles Hill III to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $10,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of Kejuan Hill. Anyone with information about his whereabouts may call police at 510-238-3821 or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572.
