Sun Prairie Police Department - Justice for a Cure

Justice For A Cure (www.justiceforacure.com) is an awareness and fundraising campaign with its aim to end breast cancer. It was started in 2008 by retired Dane County Deputy and breast cancer survivor Joan Kamholz. This campaign has grown to include law enforcement, fire departments, EMS, and other government agencies throughout the state. The Sun Prairie Police Department participates in this campaign in order to show our support for all women, especially for those close to our department family who have battled breast cancer in their lives. This awareness and fundraising program 100% benefits local and national programs and cancer research, such as UW Carbone Cancer Research, Mayo Cancer Research, Breast Cancer Recovery, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and Project3One.

Our department holds a number of in-house fundraising events during the month of October for Justice For A Cure. Citizens wishing to make donations to the Justice For A Cure campaign can do so at either Sun Prairie Police Department precinct (East – 300 E. Main St.; West – 2598 W. Main St.) between the hours of 8 to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
