Theft of Property Arrest
(Etowah County, Alabama) A Calhoun County man was arrested and charged in connection to theft of property, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
“Job Lee Walker, 32, of Jacksonville, was arrested October 2, and is charged with one count of first degree theft of property, a felony,” Sgt. Robin Grant said.
Walker stole a Yamaha four-wheeler from property located on U.S. Highway 278 West, Altoona. The owner of the four-wheeler saw the suspect driving the recreational vehicle and followed him for approximately two miles. The owner was successful in detaining Walker until deputies arrived.
Deputies Gene Pearson and Eric Terrell discovered drug paraphernalia near the four-wheeler. When interviewed, Walker admitted to stealing the recreational vehicle and claimed the paraphernalia as his. He stated he is addicted to methamphetamine and was planning to trade the four-wheeler for more drugs.
Walker was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center on $5,000 property bond for the theft of property.
