Police release name and photo of the suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of an ice cream vendor
Oakland Police Department Homicide Investigators have released the name and photo of the suspect who is wanted in the fatal shooting of an ice cream vendor.
Investigators have released this photo of wanted suspect Joevan Lopez who they believe is responsible for fatally shooting ice cream vendor Jarvis Singh, 45, on October 3, 2015 at 4:31PM, in the 9300 block of Peach Street.
Joevan Lopez is wanted on a no bail probable cause warrant in connection with the murder of Mr. Singh.
Suspect- Lopez is described as an African American, 23-years-old, 5’7”, 158 pounds, with brown eyes and dark hair worn in a dreadlock style. (See the attached photo of Lopez).
BACKGROUND: On Saturday, October 3, 2015, just after 4:31PM, officers responded to the 9300 block of Peach Street on a report of a shooting. When officers arrived on scene they located ice cream vendor Jarvis Singh who had been fatally shot. Medical personnel pronounced Singh deceased at the scene.
