A burglary that occurred at a residence on Amesbury Rd was reported this morning (10/6/15). It appears entry was gained by a truck being driven around to the rear of the residence and a ladder placed in the bed of the truck to reach a second story window. Several items were stolen from the residence.
Solicitors going door to door get a great opportunity to get a feel of your residence. Most commonly they are soliciting for yard clean up and driveway paving or seal coating. The Town of Kensington does not permit any unlicensed soliciting. Our agency aggressively enforces and prosecutes this ordinance because these are often not legitimate businesses and their presence within the community usually coincides with burglaries and thefts. Please immediately report any suspicious activity, including door to door soliciting, to the Kensington Police Department by calling 772-2929 or 911.
