Wood County Health Department Car Seat Program and Car Seat Check information 
Effective in 2015, all individuals who do not have a safe car seat and qualify for reduced cost car seats must attend our regularly scheduled car seat check events, either in Marshfield or Wisconsin Rapids to receive their education and car seat. The car seats are provided for a suggested donation of $25. Recipients of the car seats must be enrolled in at least one of the eligible programs listed below:
1. WIC
2. FoodShare (Food Stamps)
3. Wisconsin Works (W-2) Cash Assistance
4. SSI

The Wood County has several FREE Car Seat Safety Checks coming up!
In Marshfield:
October 20th, November 17th and December 15th from 11am - 1pm at the Marshfield Fire Department, 514 E 4th St, enter in the back of the station.
In Wisconsin Rapids:
October 28th, November 25th and December 23rd from 11am - 1pm at the Wood County Health Department, 420 Dewey St, 4th floor.
