Two men injured after a female intentionally struck them with her vehicle.

DATE OF RELEASE: October 4, 2015

On Sunday, October 4, 2015, at 1157 hours, West Covina Police received a call of a traffic collision with unknown injuries. West Covina dispatch received further information of an altercation in the residential neighborhood along Serenade Avenue, near Lucille Avenue. During the fight, one of the men retrieved a possible handgun which was later determined to be a replica. While the two men were still in the street, a female driving a vehicle intentionally struck both men causing injuries. Both men involved were pinned under the vehicle. Neighbors nearby lifted the vehicle off of both men and female driver fled the scene with one of the males inside of the vehicle.

Responding officers located the involved vehicle fleeing the scene. The female driver and the injured male were still inside the vehicle. The male passenger found in the vehicle was airlifted by helicopter to Los Angeles County- USC Medical Center for treatment and the female driver was arrested.

The other male was transported to Los Angeles County- USC Medical Center for medical treatment by ambulance and both men’s medical conditions are unknown at this time.

The investigation is in the early stages and no further information is known at this time.

The female driver is currently being booked at the West Covina Jail for attempted murder.
