Daviess County (Montgomery): Two Daviess County men are behind bars after a Friday night drug investigation into methamphetamine use.
Friday evening, Trooper Mitchell Wier and Washington Police Officer Brandon Garland began an investigation into possible methamphetamine manufacturing. Around 9:29 PM, Officers arrived at 6233 South 500 East, Montgomery, and spoke with Stephen M. Chambers, 74. After searching the residence, officers located methamphetamine, marijuana, and other drug paraphernalia. During the investigation, officers developed more information that led them to a second residence.
At 10:47 P.M., officers arrived at 4787 East 600 South in Montgomery, and spoke with Gregory A. Baugh, 47. Officers were able to search this residence as well, locating methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and chemicals used to manufacture methamphetamine.
Both Chambers and Baugh were placed into custody and lodged in the Daviess County Security Center without incident.
