On Friday, September 25, 2015, Canyon High School hosted a football game against Saint Francis High School. When the Saint Francis High School football team returned to the guest locker room following the game, 6 students reported their ‘beats’ headphones, along with some U.S. currency and miscellaneous items had been stolen. Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station was notified and an immediate investigation was conducted. Review of the security video footage assisted detectives from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station and the Canyon High School resource deputy, with identifying two juvenile subjects responsible for the thefts. These subjects were contacted by detectives and they both admitted to stealing the items. The two subjects were detained at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station and released to their parents. All six of the stolen headphones were recovered and returned to the victims.
