LCSO arrested 3 suspects in connection with multiple motor vehicle break-ins throughout the county

In the early morning hours of October 2nd deputies with the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle break-in on Arvil Lane in Laurens where the victim had followed the suspects until deputies were able to locate and perform a traffic stop, which lead to the arrest of the three suspects. After an ongoing investigation consisting of several motor vehicle break-ins throughout the county over approximately one month’s time frame, deputies have linked these three individuals to those crimes as well through investigative means. All victims in these cases have been notified of arrests. At this time 20 year old Jarkeivous Devante Scott Epps of 325 Robinson Road, Laurens; 20 year old Derrick Torrall Waldon of 116 Sumter Street, Laurens; 20 year old Aljabbar Shakeem Gilliam of 201 Clary Street Apt. A, Laurens, have all been charged with eight counts each of Breaking into a Motor Vehicle, and five counts each of Petit Larceny, in addition all were charged with Possession of A Weapon During a Violent Crime, Simple Possession of Marijuana, and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. Waldon was also charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm. These individuals were all transported to the Johnson Detention Center where they await a bond hearing. More charges of similar incidents are pending and will be forthcoming as the investigation continues.
