On 10-1-15, at about 11:00 AM, an APD Motorcycle Unit officer stopped a brown Honda Accord for a traffic violation near 3rd and N. Cleveland. The officer found that the driver, Robert Elias Galvan HM 33, had an expired driver’s license that was under multiple suspensions related to not having insurance and driving with an invalid driver’s license. The officer arrested Galvan for driving with an invalid license with a previous conviction. While the officer was conducting an inventory of the car prior to impound, he found five small clear baggies containing a white crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine and $1300 cash. The substance and cash were in the trunk of the car. The estimated weight of the contraband was 18 grams. Galvan was transported to the Potter County Detention Center and booked for driving with an invalid license and possession of a controlled substance, penalty group I, over 4 grams.
