Press Release: Man/Juvenile Arrested with Drugs and a Stun Gun

NARRATIVE:
On 9/24/15 at approximately 6:00 pm, members of the Township of Ocean Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Bureau were in the area of the Middlebrook apartment complex conducting an ongoing drug investigation. While in the area of Rustic Drive, they observed a drug transaction between Justice Sharp and a 17 year old Ocean Township juvenile. As a result of their observations and a further investigation, Mr. Sharp was found to be in possession marijuana, drug packaging material and a stun gun. Both subjects were taken into custody.
Mr. Sharp was charged with possession of a stun gun, two counts of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, two counts of wandering with the intent to sell drugs and one count possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set by Judge Timothy McGoughran at $10,000.00 with no ten percent option. He was transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution to await a future court hearing.
The juvenile was turned over to the custody of his parents and will face possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and wandering with the intent to purchase drugs charges within the juvenile justice system.
