MOTORCYCLE COLLISION ON MONTEREY ROAD

On September 30th, 2015, at approximately 6:30 p.m, Morgan Hill Police were dispatched to traffic collision involving a motorcycle on Monterey Rd. near Peebles Ave. While responding to the call, officers learned a motorcycle traveling northbound on Monterey Rd had collided head on into a vehicle traveling south and attempting to turn into a business. Upon arrival, officers contacted both involved parties and rendered aid to the injured motorcyclist.

Officers initiated their investigation as Fire/ EMS personnel arrived at the scene. Due to the severity of the motorcyclists injuries, he was flown by helicopter to Regional Hospital. The motorcyclist was thrown from his vehicle and landed on the shoulder of the roadway. The other driver involved in the collision was not hurt and remained at the scene and was cooperative with the investigation. At the time of the investigation there were no signs of driving under the influence of alcohol. The collision is currently being investigated by the Morgan Hill Police Traffic Unit.
