Narrative:


On September 28th 2015, at approximately 01:15 A.M., deputies assigned to the Thousand Oaks Police Station responded to the 100 block of Rolling Oaks Drive in Thousand Oaks to investigate a stabbing. Upon their arrival, deputies located a victim with a large laceration to his hand. The victim was transported to Los Robles Medical Center, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

During the investigation, Thousand Oaks Police Major Crimes Detectives began gathering information and collecting evidence, which identified Jimmy Flores-Chay as the prime suspect.

On September 28th 2015, at approximately 08:30 PM, members of the Thousand Oaks Police Special Enforcement Unit arrested Flores-Chay in the area of the 400 block of Moorpark Road in Thousand Oaks. Evidence related to the crime was also recovered at the time of the arrest.

Flores-Chay was booked into custody at the East County Jail for assault with a deadly weapon. Flores-Chay’s bail is currently set at $100,000. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Superior Court on September 30th 2015.
