It is never to early to pay attention to the possibility of a tropical system affecting our area. Hurricane Joaquin is located in the Atlantic in the area of the Bahamas at this time. Though the forecast is far from set there exists the possibility that it may affect our area this weekend. It is always a good idea to check and review your plans and ensure that you have the proper supplies to ride out any power loss or other adverse situation caused by the weather. Those residents living in the lower lying or bay front areas that are susceptible to flooding should be sure to make preparations ahead of time. Stay tuned to the local radio, television stations and social media as the week progresses for the most current information.
