The National Weather Service has issued a potential severe weather warning for Hurricane Joaquin. There is a potential of 4-10 inches of rain over the next seven (7) days. There is expected heavy rainfall from Thursday evening into Friday. Wind gusts are estimated at 20-30 mph.
Residents are urged to take the usual pre-storm measures – non-perishable foods, water, flashlights with fresh batteries, extra blankets, etc.
Residents are also asked to remove debris from storm drains and gutters and secure loose items outside of their residences.
