From the local Emergency Management Agency:

Carrollton City Schools, Carrollton Public Safety and Carroll County Public Safety will be conducting an intruder exercise drill on Thursday, October 1 from 8-12pm at the Carrollton Junior High School. Exercise drills are important tools to help reinforce disaster preparedness, and give faculty the skills they need to respond in a real-world scenario. This is only an exercise drill, and no one will be in harm’s way as a result.
