UPDATE - PLEASE USE CORRECT MUG PHOTO - ISP Drug Task Force Arrests Two Indianapolis Men after Traffic Stop, Charged with Several Felonies
Martinsville - Yesterday Troopers with the Indiana State Police Drug Task Force worked a narcotics investigation after coming into contact with Jeremiah Moore and Jevon Bates-Smith, both from Indianapolis. A traffic stop of the suspects was performed in the area of 410 Grand Valley Boulevard in Martinsville. The driver, Jeremiah Moore initially fled on foot, but was quickly apprehended. Moore was found to be in possession of over 25 grams of heroin. Moore was also found to be in possession of digital scales that contained powder heroin residue. A loaded .40 caliber Glock handgun was also located inside the vehicle. Both Moore and Bates-Smith were arrested for Conspiracy to Deal Over 10 grams of a Narcotic Drug with a Firearm, a Level 2 Felony and Possession of a Narcotic Drug over 10 grams with a Firearm, a Level 3 Felony.
Assisting in the investigation was Martinsville Police Department and the Morgan County Sheriff's Office.
