Sheriff's Air Rescue 06 hoists an Oceanside woman from the San Gorgonio Mountains following a major injury

VICTIM(S): Rebecca Jorgenson, 34 years old, Oceanside
SUMMARY: On Monday, September 28th, Rebecca Jorgensen was hiking with friends on San Gorgonio Mountain, which is located south of Big Bear. During the hike, Jorgensen fell and suffered a major injury. Jorgensen was unable to hike down from the mountain and requested assistance.
Sheriff's Air Rescue06 responded and located Jorgensen at the 10,200 foot level on the Vivian Creek Trail. The crew determined Jorgensen would need to be hoist rescued due to her injuries and the location.
The crew performed the rescue of Jorgensen. She was placed into a Stokes litter and hoisted into the helicopter. Jorgensen was flown to Loma Linda University Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
