Press Release: Man Arrested on Drug Charges

ACCUSED: Jesse J. Monaghan age 28 Manasquan, NJ
NARRATIVE:
On 9/24/15 at approximately 12:34 am, Officer Raheem Carter was on patrol in the area of the Asbury Park Circle when he observed a vehicle commit a motor vehicle violation. Officer Carter stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Jesse J. Monaghan.
An investigation, with the assistance of Officer Kolodziej and Allenhurst K9 Officer Carafa, revealed that Mr. Monaghan was illegally in possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and the prescription legend drug Subutex. He was placed under arrest and taken to the Township of Ocean Police Headquarters for processing.
Mr. Monaghan was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of prescription legend drugs. He was additionally charged with careless driving and possession of drugs in a motor vehicle. Mr. Monaghan was released on summonses and is scheduled to appear at a future court hearing.
