Napa County Sheriff’s Search & Rescue Team is Seeking Volunteers
(NAPA, California) Do you like the outdoors? Do you want to make a difference in your life and someone else’s? Would you like to be part of a dedicated team of people who respond in a moment’s notice?
The Napa County Sheriff’s Volunteer Search and Rescue Team (SAR) provides search and rescue services to all areas of Napa County and the Bay Area. Our mission is to locate missing persons, rescue victims who are lost or injured in urban or wild lands areas, and assist during natural or man-made disasters. The team is always mission ready and has members who are available 24-hours a day.
Minimum Requirements:
• Reside or work in the county of Napa.
• Be a minimum of 14 ½ years of age.
• Possess a valid California driver’s license or California identification card.
• Be of good moral character.
• Have no felony convictions or any criminal charges pending/ not be on probation for a crime.
• Not be a restrained party by any court order.
• Be willing to submit to a live scan fingerprint check.
• Volunteers must successfully pass a background investigation.
Open House: The SAR Team is holding an open house on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at 7:00 p.m., at the Napa County Sheriff’s Office, which is located at 1535 Airport Blvd., Napa, CA.
