On 9/16/2015 the theft of two trailers was reported by a local farmer in the Buttonwillow area. During the investigation, it was determined an adult male along with two juveniles stole the two trailers from the farmer. During the investigation detectives from the Rural Crime Investigation Unit were able to identify the adult and two juveniles who stole the trailers. Detectives from the Rural Crime Investigation Unit conducted searches of two locations in the Shafter area and recovered the stolen trailers. During the search 29 year old Juan Trujillo and two juveniles were arrested for the thefts. All three suspects lived in the Shafter, CA area. Trujillo was booked in to the Central Receiving Facility for felony theft and conspiracy. The juveniles were cited and released to their parents. The trailers were valued at over $5,000.00.
