Moses Lake man injured in collision with power pole
MOSES LAKE, Wash, (22SEPT2015) -- A Moses Lake man is hospitalized after crashing his car yesterday morning about seven miles north of Moses Lake.
20-year-old Nicholas Obershaw was driving a 1991 Honda Accord south in the 9600 block of Stratford Rd NE. Likely due to driver inattention, Obershaw left the roadway to the east and struck a roadside power pole.
Obershaw was trapped in the car and was found by a passing motorist. The citizen rendered first aid until emergency responders arrived. Obershaw was extricated and then flown by Northwest MedStar to Confluence Health-Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee. He suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Grant County PUD repaired the damaged power pole. Power was out in the area for about one hour.
