Repopulation of Hidden Valley Lake Area

The Mandatory Evacuation Order for the communities of Hidden Valley Lake,Jerusalem Grade, Grange Road, and Butts Canyon Road will be lifted to residents only at 12pm Sunday, September 20. Resident screening locations have been established at traffic control points. Access to Hidden Valley Lakes will be through the Hartmann Rd. entrance only and there will be no Hidden Lakes Access from Spruce Grove Road. To support the orderly return of residents to their homes, the following road closures have been revised:
Revised road closures – Effective September 20, 2015 at 12:00 PM
• Hartmann Road at SR 29 (Screening location)
• Grange Road at SR 29 (Screening location)
• Butts Canyon Rd at SR 29 (Screening location)
• Butts Canyon Rd at Snell Valley Rd (Screening location)
No additional Evacuation Orders are being lifted at this time.
The cancellation of additional Evacuation Orders is being evaluated based on a variety of factors, including potential fire behavior, and the re-establishment of crucial infrastructure. SAFETY MESSAGE - The public is reminded to stay vigilant on current fire conditions. Please continue to adhere to road closures and any evacuation warnings or advisories.
If you see electrical wires on the ground, stay clear and contact PG&E immediately. Trees and poles with deep charring, particularly if still smoking, should be considered hazardous. PG&E would like to remind everyone that, “As you return to your home, please do not connect a generator without a licensed electrician. Also there may be other hazards present that you should be mindful of as you return.”
PG&E is ready to assist and will provide a mobile command vehicle, local customer service, and a reconnection staff to answer questions and provide resources. This will be located in the parking lot across the street from the Cowpoke Cafe, along Hwy 29 in downtown Middletown on Saturday September 19th & Sunday September 20th.

Please drive slowly as emergency personnel operate in the area.
As you re-enter your property and evaluate damage, be aware that hazardous conditions may exist, particularly if a residence or out-building has burned. Hazards may include asbestos, heavy metals, by-products of plastic combustion and various other chemicals.
