Stabbing Victim – Beverly Hospital, Montebello, CA.

At approximately 1:38 am this morning, Montebello Police Officers responded to Beverly Hospital in reference to a disturbance. Once Officers arrived they determined an adult male was being treated for multiple stab type wounds. These injuries appeared to be serious in nature.

Officers were able to obtain information from various sources that the assault may have occurred at a specific residence in the 500 block of N. 6th Street, Montebello. Officers responded to the residence and observed evidence just outside of the residence and immediate surrounding area.

An adult male from the residence was detained and brought to the Montebello Police Department for further investigation. The 500 block of N. 6th Street will be temporarily closed until further investigation.

Investigators believe that this crime was not random and the Victim and Suspect(s) know each other.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department was contacted to assist in the processing, identification and collection of evidence.

Anyone that was in the area of the 500 block of N. 6th Street around 1:30 am that can provide information about this incident is encouraged to contact the lead investigator Detective R. Zabala or Detective P. Antista.
