Subjects who matched the descriptions fled from police, and two were located in the area after a brief pursuit. A third suspect fled the scene. Property in the vehicle was determined to be stolen from an auto burglary that occurred in Oakland about an hour prior. Grand Theft:
On Wednesday, Sept. 9th, about 12:30 p.m., Ofc. Alberto was in the area of Decoto Rd. and Meyers Dr. when a victim approached him and said his bike was just stolen. The victim said he left his mountain bike unsecured on his apartment patio, and someone stole it between 8:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.

Brandishing:
On Sunday, Sept. 13th, around 6:45 p.m., Ofc. Turbyfill responded to a Union Landing location on the report of a brandished gun. EMPLOYEE HIGHLIGHTS
Last weekend, eight members of the UCPD SWAT team, led by Sgt. Mike Mahaney, participated in Urban Shield 2015. Urban Shield, created in 2007 by Alameda County Sheriff Gregory Ahern, has become the most comprehensive, intense, complex, and prolific training experience for all public safety first responders – police, fire and EMS – to prepare, train, and practice coordinated multidisciplinary responses to any major threat to the safety of our communities. Our UCPD team placed 28th among all the local, national, and international teams in the Urban Shield event. The team also achieved a perfect score in their response to a corporate takeover scenario in San Francisco.
