Homicide Detectives Seek Public’s Help Locating
Two Suspects Involved in Florence-Graham Area Shooting Death. $10,000 Reward Offered
Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects involved in the shooting death of a young man, which occurred Thursday, August 27, 2015.
Investigation and evidence have led detectives to seek the identity of two unknown suspects who confronted 18-year-old Los Angeles resident, Victim Marshawn Jackson, minutes after 3:00 PM in the 9500 block of Parmelee Avenue, located in the Florence-Graham area of unincorporated Los Angeles County.
The images of a young Hispanic male with a thin build, wearing a white T-shirt and long, red shorts or pants, and a young Hispanic female with long brown hair, wearing a pink shirt and dark shorts, were captured on surveillance video confronting and arguing with Victim Jackson. The male suspect became enraged, produced an unknown caliber handgun from his waistband and shot Victim Jackson multiple times in the upper torso.
Both suspects fled the scene on foot, and were last seen running westbound East 96th Street and out of view.
Victim Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim leaves behind his parents, his girlfriend and a two-year-old son.
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors-Office of Second District County of Los Angeles Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects.
