9-15-15: Couple robbed in home in N. Amarillo Tuesday night, no arrests.

On 9-15-15, at 10:32 PM, officers were sent to a home in the 700 block of N. Garfield on a robbery.  The WM and WF adult residents reported that they had just been robbed at gunpoint.   They told officers that they had opened the front door of the home to let in a male guest that they knew.  Another, unknown male then stepped in through the front door.  This suspect was a HM 20-25, 5 ft. 10 inches tall, weighing 140-150 pounds.  He was wearing a black bandana over his face, black hooded sweatshirt, and carrying a pink backpack.  The suspect produced a handgun and demanded money from the residents.  The male resident gave the suspect money he had on his person.  The suspect then left through the back door of the home.  Officers located witnesses that saw someone running away from the home in an alley behind the house at the time of the robbery.  There were no injuries and no arrests.  If you have any information about this crime, please call the Amarillo Police Dept. at 378-3038 or Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 374-4400.
