Single motorist involved in fatal crash on I-90 EB in Gary, IN 
Gary, Lake County-A single motorist succumbed to their injuries, this evening, when the vehicle they were driving made contact with a guard rail..
Preliminary investigation by Trooper Hornsby and Trooper Weller of the Toll Road District revealed, at approximately 8:48 p.m., this Wednesday, September 16, 2015, a single passenger vehicle was on I-90 East Bound and made contact with a guard rail at the 10 mile marker.
The single motorist was administered first aid but was pronounced dead at the scene from their injuries. The Family HAS NOT been notified.
The right lane of eastbound I90 is closed for reconstruction of the crash, removal of the injured and vehicles, and cleanup of the roadway. The lane will be reopened once the scene is cleared. The investigation of this crash is still ongoing.

All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

The driver involved in the one car fatality was identified as Lindsey Proper, 33 years of age, from the Chesterton, Indiana Area. Lindsey Proper's next of kin HAS BEEN notified.
