ISP Traffic Stop & ISP K9 Drogos Lead Troopers to Heroin, Cocaine & Syringes

Morgantown (Morgan County) – Late last week while conducting criminal patrols in the Morgantown and Bean Blossom area, Indiana State Troopers assigned to the Bloomington District A.C.E.S. (Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Section) conducted a traffic stop on State Road 135, near Morgantown.

During the course of the stop, Trp. Chris Griggs developed reasonable suspicion that indicated possible drug activity by the occupants of the vehicle.  Soon after Trp. Allen Deel and ISP K-9 Drogos arrived on the scene, Drogos alerted to the fact there were narcotics in the vehicle.  A subsequent search revealed heroin, "crack" cocaine, a "crack" pipe, scales, and syringes used to inject the drugs.

It was also discovered that the female passenger, Carly J. Perras, had an active restraining order against the driver, Shane Z. Proctor.

ARRESTED - Carly J. Perras, 21 of Brownsburg for Possession of Heroin, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Hypodermic Syringes and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Shane Z. Proctor, 23 of Indianapolis for Invasion of Privacy

Both were incarcerated at the Morgan County Jail on 09/10/2015. The Morgantown Police Department assisted with the investigation.
