(Etowah County, Alabama) A female’s body was found at approximately 3:30 a.m., this morning, in the Camp Siebert community. The body was discovered in the roadway of Stewart Avenue, right outside the city limits of Attalla.

Etowah County Sheriff’s investigators and Attalla police are working to gather evidence and information at this time. The body has been sent for an autopsy.

A brief ground and air search were conducted in an attempt to locate individuals of interest who may have information regarding the woman’s death. There is no need for citizens’ in the area to fear for their safety.
