Advisory

9/11 Memorial Service Friday at 9:00AM, Nakaoka Center (1670 W. 162nd St Gardena).

On Friday September 11, 2015 at 0900 Hours, the Gardena Police Department Honor Guard will lower the main flag in the City Hall quad (In front of Nakaoka Center, 1670 W. 162nd St) to half mast. This is to commemorate the 14th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on our nation on September 11, 2001.

This flag lowering will be a short ceremony. This is our simple way to pay respect to the victims of 9/11 and to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the global war on terror. Please stop by if you have time.

As we commemorate the 14th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks, the American Red Cross has partnered with 9/11 Day to provide individuals a chance to help others by giving blood at drives across the country. Volunteer donors of all blood types – especially those with types AB, O negative, A negative and B negative – and platelet donors are needed throughout September and beyond.

Thank You and God Bless America.
