Traffic Congestion Expected TOMORROW and SATURDAY. Pedestrians Crossing Rt. 561 at Kresson-Gibbsboro in Gibbsboro. USE CAUTION.
The Voorhees Police Department in cooperation with the Gibbsboro Police Department, Gibbsboro Fire Department, and Camden County Fire Police and OEM will be aiding with the crossing of pedestrian traffic tomorrow between 4PM and 8PM at Rt. 561 (Haddonfield-Berlin Road) and Kresson-Gibbsboro Road in the Borough of Gibbsboro and on Saturday between 9AM-11AM. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in both the northbound and southbound directions as a measure to reduce speeds for the safety of pedestrians and first responders. It is recommended that an alternate route of travel be planned. Cooper Road may be used as an alternate route, as well as the White Horse Pike (US 30). If traveling Rt. 561 during the aforementioned time periods, expect delays.
For those attending the funeral services for 14 year old Eastern High School student Kara Lemanowicz, parking will be available in the St. Andrews Church lot and the overflow parking will be in the parking lot of the old Paint Works at Rt. 561 and US Ave. Officers will assist pedestrians at the traffic signal of Rt. 561 and Kresson-Gibbsboro Road in crossing the roadway. DO NOT CROSS at other locations for your own safety and for the effective management of anticipated traffic in the area.
We thank you for your anticipated cooperation.
