SMPD's Non-emergency line is back in service. Dial 650-522-7700 for non-emergency calls. THX Burlingame PD!
This was a busy holiday weekend for us at SMPD. Throughout Labor Day Weekend, an equipment issue needing repair necessitated a rerouting of our non-emergency phone lines. While 911 lines remained in service, we enacted a pre-planned protocol for rerouting the non-emergency lines with the assistance of our colleagues at the Burlingame Police Department.
While Burlingame PD graciously welcomed our dispatchers into their center, SMPD sprang into action with our City of San Mateo IT Department to ensure that our equipment was restored to full function as quickly as possible. Meanwhile, our officers on the street, as well as our dispatchers on the phones, provided continuous, seamless service throughout the weekend.
As of today, all of our phone lines and equipment are back in service and fully functional. We are extremely grateful to our IT Department and our friends at Burlingame Police Department!
Thank you for your patience during this unusual time. Our non-emergency line of 650-522-7700 is now back in service.
