Deputies Arrest Suspect For Robbery and Assault With A Deadly Weapon
On 9/7/2015 at 6:30 pm, Deputies were dispatched to a stabbing victim in the 2500 block of Niles Street. Deputies located the victim who had a stab wound to his torso. The victim was transported to Kern Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The victim was walking to a nearby market when he was approached by the suspect. The suspect demanded money from the victim. The victim refused and the suspect stabbed the victim and fled from the area. With the help of residents in the area, deputies were directed to the area of Barlow Street and Lake Street. Deputies located and arrested the suspect. The suspect was identified as Armando Carbajal age 21. Carbajal was booked into the Central Receiving Facility for robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.
