1 Injured in Golf Cart Incident in Penn Twp.


Cass County Sheriff Joseph M Underwood Jr is reporting that his deputies are investigating a golf cart incident that occurred in Penn Twp on 9/6/15 at 2302 hrs. The deputies stated that Edward Rach, 23 yrs old from Osceola In, was driving a golf cart on Storey Rd. He took a left hand turn onto Lakeview Dr when Christian Moller, 20 yrs old from Arlington Heights Il., fell off the back of the golf cart. Witnesses stated he was standing up during the turn. Mr Moller sustained a head injury from the fall and was treated by Life Care Ambulance Service before being flown to South Bend Memorial Hospital by Med Flight. He was list in stable condition at this time. Alcohol was a factor in the incident and no safety belts were available on the golf cart. The Cass County Sheriff's Office was assisted on the scene by Life Care Ambulance Service, Penn Twp. Fire Dept., and Med Flight. The investigation remains under investigation at this time.
