BART TransBay Tube closed for Labor Day weekend 
East Bay drivers are reminded that the BART Transbay tube will be closed for maintenance from September 5-7, 2015.
The closure means there will be no BART service between Oakland and San Francisco over the long Labor Day Holiday weekend.
For East Bay drivers, this means that there will be higher than normal traffic using surface streets to get to San Francisco. Drivers are advised to either limit travel into San Francisco, or plan on higher than normal travel times as a result of the increased traffic.
Normal BART service will resume on Tuesday, September 8, 2015.
