LEVEL 1 EVACUATION IN BONNER COUNTY ASSOC. WITH THE CLARK FORK COMPLEX FIRE IS LIFTED. ROAD, FOREST & FIRE RESTRICTIONS STILL IN EFFECT
AS OF 1 PM FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, THE LEVEL 1 EVACUATION NOTICE IN BONNER COUNTY ASSOCIATED WITH THE CLARK FORK COMPLEX FIRES IS HEREBY LIFTED. ALL FOREST CLOSURES, ROAD CLOSURES AND BURNING RESTRICTIONS REMAIN IN EFFECT
Bonner County Sheriff Daryl Wheeler announced today that the Level 1 Evacuation Notice for the area south of River Road between the Montana/Idaho State Line and Johnson Creek is being removed after consultation with Hutton's Wildland Fire Management Team, who is managing the Clark Fork Complex Fires. This decision was based upon the progress made in controlling the Whitetail Fire’s spread and a forecasted precipitation event over the coming days. We encourage residents to continue to monitor local Emergency Services information for updates.
