A CLEAN Sweep Results in Six Arrests

 

Miami/Fulton Counties – A recent three day sweep by members of the CLEAN Team has resulted in six arrests from Fulton and Miami Counties.

On Tuesday, officers from the CLEAN Team assisted the Miami County Probation Office with a check on a probationer’s residence at 370 West Sixth Street, Peru, IN. During the visit, items associated with the use and manufacturing of narcotics were allegedly observed.  Officers applied for and were issued a Miami Circuit Court Search warrant for the property. During the execution of the warrant a methamphetamine lab was located along with items associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine. Also, there were two children, ages six and one, at the residence. They were released into the care of the Miami County Division of the Indiana Department of Child Services

Rachel Roseberry, 29, Thomas Roseberry, 35, and Joseph Cunningham, 41, all from Peru were incarcerated in the Miami County Jail.  Thomas Roseberry faces charges for possession of hypodermic needles, maintaining a common nuisance, conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, neglect of a dependent (two counts), and possession of drug precursors. Rachel Roseberry faces criminal charges for illegal sale of drug precursors and two counts for neglect of a dependent. Cunningham faces charges for visiting a common nuisance, manufacturing methamphetamine, and possession of drug precursors. He also had an active arrest warrant from Miami County for a probation violation.                   

Wednesday night, officers from the CLEAN Team executed a Fulton Circuit Court search warrant on a home at 705 East Fourth Street, Rochester, IN and served an Elkhart County arrest warrant at a residence on 3678 South County Road 500 East, Rochester, IN.  During a search of the Fourth Street residence, officers allegedly found methamphetamine and marijuana.  Gregory Brown, 31, Rochester, was incarcerated in the Fulton County Jail to face criminal charges for possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance, and obstruction of justice. Brown allegedly flushed marijuana down a toilet as officers were making entrance into his home.  

As part of an ongoing narcotics investigation, members of the CLEAN Team received information that Todd Vaughn, 50, Rochester, IN, was wanted on an Elkhart County arrest warrant for dealing cocaine or a narcotic drug.  Further investigation revealed he was allegedly staying at a residence on 3678 South County Road 500 East, Rochester. Vaughn was located at the residence. Vaughn allegedly had over five grams of ice (crystal methamphetamine) and numerous prescription medications on his person. He was incarcerated in the Fulton County Jail to face criminal charges for dealing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of a scheduled II and schedule IV narcotic.

Last night, members of the CLEAN Team assisted the Fulton County Probation Office serve a probation violation arrest warrant on Jesus Velez, 32, at his residence on 1707 Madison Street, Rochester, IN. While at the residence officers allegedly observed cocaine, Xanax, and drug paraphernalia. Velez was incarcerated in the Fulton County Jail for the probation violation warrant, possession of cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.  

The CLEAN Team is a task force with 11 law enforcement entities that have dedicated resources to fight narcotics in Fulton and Miami Counties. CLEAN stands for Combined Law Enforcement Against Narcotics.  The main focus of the task force is narcotics enforcement with an emphasis on methamphetamine related crimes.

All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
