Driver Arrested after Stolen Vehicle Discovered at Convenience Store

Putnam County—Last night at 10:41, Indiana State Police Troopers Kyle Hall and James Crisp stopped at the Marathon Convenience Mart on State Road 243 just south of Interstate 70. As the troopers entered the lot, they noticed a suspicious vehicle and male occupant and decided to investigate further.

A registration check revealed the Chrysler 300 passenger car was reported stolen on August 18, 2015 to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police and the male did not have a valid driver’s license. The male was taken into custody and transported to the Putnam County Jail.

Arrested:                     Larry D. Criscillies, age 29, of Indianapolis, IN.

Preliminary Charges:  Auto Theft, Possession of Stolen Property, and a Habitual Traffic Violator.

Under the Law, criminal charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
