A Tulsa man who was formerly a respite care provider for foster children is under arrest for distribution of child pornography. Early in August, an undercover OSBI agent with the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit connected to a peer-to-peer network. He was able to download child pornography from a host computer whose IP address was later located at 6429 E. 95th Place South in Tulsa. Wednesday, OSBI agents, an agent with the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office, and Tulsa Police served a search warrant at that address. Timothy Paul Cheatwood (d.o.b. 6/22/1971) was arrested on scene. Cheatwood admitted to using his desktop computer to obtain child pornography. He was booked into the Tulsa County jail on one count of distribution of child pornography and one count of violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act. Investigators are asking foster parents who ever used Cheatwood to care for their foster child to please call the OSBI hotline at 1-800-522-8017.
