The Sachse Police Department has just implemented a new program for you! We now have two parking spaces out front of the Public Safety Building with signs designating them as a "Safe Trade" location. We also have a room attached to our lobby that you can conduct the trade in.
What does this mean to you?
The parking spaces and room are video recorded 24hrs a day 7 days a week. The parking spaces are directly below a light providing a well-lit area for trade or exchange after dark. The spaces and room are marked with signs as pictured.
The next part of the Safe Trade Program that we will offer is to check items to see if they are reported stolen through the state and national database. For this to be done there will be a short form available in the lobby of the Public Safety Building. This form will need to be completed fully and we will check your item(s). The only information we will provide is if it is “reported” stolen. This will be based on the serial number you provide. If the item you are purchasing does not have a serial number we will most likely not have a means to check it through the database.
Due to the various types of items being sold on these different outlets we would request that you use good judgment on what you bring into the Public Safety Building.
