On Tuesday, August 25, 2015, the Oakland Police Department took three men into custody for committing a string of armed robberies of convenience stores this summer. In a team effort, OPD Criminal Investigation and Ceasefire Division investigators, with assistance from concerned community members, worked together to bring the three suspects into custody. Using witness descriptions and video surveillance footage, OPD was able to identify the suspects and obtain search warrants for them. The warrants were served at three Oakland addresses, and the suspects were arrested and charged with multiple robberies. Their cases have been forwarded to the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office for review.
