City of Rockford to host community planning workshops on Davis Park improvements
The City of Rockford invites the public to participate in two planning workshops to identify how to improve the physical form and function of Davis Park in downtown Rockford. As part of its ongoing redevelopment efforts, the City and partner agencies are evaluating existing park conditions for potential improvements to enhance the park's aesthetics and utilization for daily and event-based use.
Farr Associates and Conservation Design Forum, the City's on-call planning consultants, will facilitate two public workshops for input on park improvements. The first workshop will review the existing park conditions, seek information on how the community would like the park to function, and solicit design ideas that can be incorporated into park improvements. The second workshop will present conceptual drawings on park improvements based on the public input from the first workshop.
