#005 Arson Arrest

A joint investigation took place with the Fremont Fire Department, FPD Officer Allsup and CSI Gaziano regarding the vandalism of a building and intentional burning of a vehicle.  The investigation revealed the owner of the vehicle had burned his own car in an effort to commit fraud.  The owner, a 20 year old adult male, Fremont resident, was arrested.

#019 Residential Burglary

Officers investigated a residential burglary on the 41200 block of Norman Ct.  A resident finds a female adult attempting to enter her home via the backyard.  The suspect flees and gets into a white sedan.  The area is checked but no suspects are located.  Investigation by Officer Motojo.

#026 Public Intoxication

At 3:17 p.m., Officer Loughery responds to Washington Hospital on a disturbance call and arrests an adult male for being drunk in public. 

#029 Warrant Arrest

At 3:20 p.m., FTO Nevin and Officer Geopp conduct a vehicle stop at Mission/Pine and arrest an adult male for a fraud warrant.  

#032 Under the Influence Arrest

At 4:12 p.m., Officer Lawrence responds to a disturbance 4300 block of Thornton Ave and arrests and adult male for being under the influence of a controlled substance.

#033 Warrant Arrest

At 4:36 p.m., FTO Ferrara and Officer Higgins respond to the police department and arrest an adult female for a theft warrant. 

#037 Residential Burglary

Officers investigated a residential burglary on the 48000 block of Amapola Dr.  Unknown suspects broke the rear slider to gain entry.  Officer Soper investigating.  

#003 Warrant Service 

At approximately midnight Officer Lawrence made a traffic stop in the area of Peralta Blvd and Sequoia Rd on a subject who had several warrants.  The driver, a 53 year old adult male, was arrested for his outstanding warrants and booked into Santa Rita Jail.

#002 Robbery

At 12:30 a.m., Officer Luevano was dispatched to a robbery that had occurred an hour prior in the area of Bart Way and Civic Center Dr. The victim was walking west on Bart Way towards Civic Center Dr. when a silver SUV pulled up next to him. A male with a ski mask exits the vehicle and brandished a knife at the victim. The suspect demanded the victim’s property which was surrendered. The suspect gets back into the vehicle and flees towards Civic then north towards Mowry. The victim described the suspect he saw as a dark skinned male with two more suspects with ski masks in the car.

#005 & 006 Obstructing/Resisting an Officer

At 12:54 a.m., officers responded to a large party spilling onto the street on the 5700 block of Antone. A subject was contacted for drug violation. The subject, an 18 year old adult male obstructs officers and refuses to comply with orders given to him. The male was advised he was under arrest, but pulled away and continued to resist. He was booked into the Fremont Jail.

#018 DUI Arrest

Officer Gourley conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation by a driver who yelled at him as he was leaving the Brookvale Shopping Center.  Officer Gourley ended up arresting the 43 year old adult male, Union City resident, for DUI.  

#048 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Arrest

Officer Collins arrested an adult male for possession of a meth pipe.

#050 Felony Warrant Service

Officer Luevano conducted a vehicle stop and arrested the driver for an outstanding felony warrant.

#047 Trespassing

Officer Liu responded to Charter Square and took a report of trespassing at the Lucky store.  An adult male was arrested for trespassing.

#008 DUI Arrest

At 6:19 a.m., ACSO Bomb Squad spotted a suspected DUI driver in Fremont and made a traffic stop.  FPD Sgt. Samayoa responded and assisted with the  investigation and arrested a 25 year old adult male, Fremont resident, for DUI.

#017 Public Intoxication Arrest

At 1:36 p.m., Officer Francisco responded to Dale Hardware regarding a man down.  He located an adult male, Fremont resident, who was intoxicated and unable to care for himself.  He was arrested for drunk in public.

#025 Warrant Arrest 

Officer Soper conducts a pedestrian stop on a 36 year old adult male on the 39000 block of Fremont Blvd.  The male is subsequently arrested for his active warrant for being under the influence of a controlled substance.

#031 Warrant Arrest 

Officer Layfield was checking the 3900 block of Washington Blvd for a 41 year old adult male who was a parolee at large with an active felony warrant and considered armed and dangerous.   At approximately 7:05 p.m., officers learn the male was possibly in a nearby parking lot.  Officers Layfield, Macciola and Taylor responded to the area.  Officers contact the male who takes off running.  Officers catch and attempt to handcuff the male but he fights with two of them.  Officer Taylor deploys K9 Cairo who assists in the apprehension of the male suspect.  The male was transported and medically treated at a local hospital.  A large knife was located in the suspect's front waistband.
