INCIDENT: Fatal Traffic Collision
LOCATION: Nisqualli Road and First Avenue, Victorville

SUMMARY: On Sunday, August 30, 2015, at approximately 9:42 pm, sheriff's deputies from the Victorville Police Station responded to a traffic collision which occurred on Nisqualli Road near First Avenue in the City of Victorville. Deputies located two male subjects seated in the front of a Black Chevy Impala. They were both pronounced deceased by responding medical personnel. Deputies also contacted an adult female with two juveniles who were in the second involved vehicle, described as a brown Nissan Murano. All three were transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment of moderate injuries.

According to witnesses, the Chevy Impala was traveling east and the Nissan Murano was traveling west, on Nisqually Road, prior to the collision. For unknown reasons, the Chevy Impala swerved across the roadway and drove into the westbound lanes, directly in front of the Nissan Murano. The driver of the Nissan Murano was unable to stop her vehicle before colliding with the passenger side of the Chevy Impala. After being struck by the Nissan Murano, the Chevy Impala continued through a fence and came to rest on the property of the Casa Bella Apartments, located on Nisqualli Road. The Nissan Murano came to rest in the westbound number two lane of Nisqualli Road.

The names of the involved subjects are being withheld, pending next of kin notification of the deceased and a status update of the subjects transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center.
