OFFICERS INVOLVED: Patrolmen Nick Dowling, Vincent Volek, Daniel Liptak Christopher Mirrione, Officers Miguel Medina and Dale Wong

ACCUSED: Milo Rainey Age 36 Red Bank, NJ

NARRATIVE:

On 8-23-15 at approximately 11:50pm officers observed a suspicious male riding a bicycle in the area of Euclid Ave in the Village of Loch Arbour. Officers located the subject a short time later in the area of Kingsley and 8th Ave in the City of Asbury Park. Officers observed him discard an item from his possession just prior to their approach. The accused provided officers with a false name and attempted to flee on foot.

Following a brief foot pursuit our officers were able to apprehend the subject and take him into custody. A police investigation was conducted and the subject was found to be wanted on approximately $76,400.00 in warrants. The accused was further charged with resisting arrest, obstruction, hindering apprehension, tampering with physical evidence, tampering with public records and falsely incriminating another.

During the follow up investigation the accused was further charged with burglary, theft and defiant trespassing. The accused attempted to escape from police custody during the investigation and in the process assaulted an officer and a nurse. The accused was immediately taken back into police custody. The accused was further charged with aggravated assault and escape in the City of Long Branch. The accused was committed to Monmouth County Correctional default $136,400.00
