Petaluma Police DUI Checkpoint Results in 12 drivers arrested - 2 for DUI

DUI/DL CHECKPOINT RESULTS
2 DUI Arrests – 10 Unlicensed Drivers Cited
Petaluma, California – On Friday night, August 28, 2015, between the hours of 6pm and 3am Saturday morning, the Petaluma Police Department conducted two DUI and Driver’s License Checkpoints in the City of Petaluma. The first checkpoint was SB Sonoma Mountain Parkway at Wellington Av between 6pm and 10 pm. The checkpoint recorded the following activity:
405 vehicles passed through the checkpoint
405 drivers were screened by officers for signs of DUI or license violations
17 drivers were sent into a secondary evaluation area for further investigation
5 drivers were arrested
1 driver was arrested for DUI
4 drivers were arrested and cited for driving without a license
The second checkpoint was NB Petaluma Boulevard at Gossage Avenue between 10pm and 3am. The checkpoint recorded the following activity:
321 vehicles passed through the checkpoint
321 drivers were screened by officers for signs of DUI or license violations
28 drivers were sent into a secondary evaluation area for further investigation
7 drivers were arrested
1 driver was arrested for DUI
6 drivers were arrested and cited for driving without a license
1 vehicles was impounded for 30 days
The following drivers were arrested for DUI at the two checkpoints:
Steven Rosso 54 year old Petaluma resident
Rashod Johnson 35 year old Sebastopol resident
